Singer Courtney Love has a passion for all things British.

She’s still looking for her dream home in England, and now I’m told she’s on the hunt for a perfect English gentleman…for her daughter Frances Bean.

Former wild child Courtney, who wants 16-year-old Frances educated in England, has told friends she is keen to set her up with Robert Pattinson, the 22-year-old star of the hit new vampire movie Twilight.

France is said to have fallen for London-born Robert and mum is playing matchmaker.

‘Courtney thinks he’s charming and handsome and absolutely has to be Frances’s first date,’ says a source.

‘She’s doing everything she can to engineer another meeting.’

Four years ago Robert Pattinson's vignette in Vanity Fair hit the cutting room floor. Now he's set to become one of the actors of the decade, taking the lead in the phenomenally successful vampire love flick, Twilight, and playing Cedric Diggory in the upcoming Harry Potter. It's all happened so fast, he tells Donald Clarke

HERE IS a sad story. Four years ago, Robert Pattinson, then just 18, secured a role in Mira Nair's lavish adaptation of Vanity Fair. When the night came for the premiere, he slapped down his unruly hair, polished his shoes and stepped out proudly for Leicester Square.

"It was my first real job," he says with a wry smile. "I went along to the premiere, but nobody had told me that I had been cut out. I didn't realise until the film ended." Happily, the story has a jolly coda.

"The casting agent was the same one who did Harry Potter. They felt so bad about it they gave me an early meeting for the next Harry Potter film. And that went well." Indeed it did. As 2009 looms, 22-year-old Robert Pattinson finds himself teetering on the brink of full-blown stardom. That meeting with the Harry Potter people went so smoothly that he secured the role of Cedric Diggory - doomed rival of the hero at the Triwizard Tournament - in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The odd TV job and the occasional independent film followed. Then, early this year, he secured the role of Edward Cullen, teenage vampire, in the film version of Stephenie Meyer's hugely popular Twilight.

"I didn't even know there was a book series of that name," he says.

"This vampire love story thing? I had zero idea about it. It all came out of nowhere. Then they said the books had sold 25 million. I thought: 'is that a lot, 25 million worldwide?' I really didn't know."

Robert Pattinson Pulled a Muscle Lifting Kristen Stewart

Robert Pattinson pulled a muscle when he lifted up his co-star Kristen Stewart.
The pair star together in new vampire flick Twilight.
But Pattinson insists that, unlike his character in the movie, he doesn't have superhuman strength.
He reveals, "There was a moment where I pulled my hamstring when I was lifting Kristen up.
"That was very superhero like - or not. It was funny but I was so embarrassed, especially because I was surrounded by all these super cool stunt guys."

Twilight is in turmoil. The movie’s two hot young stars, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, are reportedly fuming that studio Summit Entertainment has abruptly dumped director Catherine Hardwicke as the sequel, New Moon, is gearing up to shoot.

"[Rob and Kristen] are both very upset," a source told the Chicago Sun Times Dec. 11. "They are committed to doing at least the next 'Twilight' film -- and the one after that -- but they really wanted to do them with Catherine."

Summit Entertainment has tentatively slated Nov. 20, 2009, as the release date for New Moon, the Twilight sequel, which means any director who signs on to replace Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has to be in Vancouver by Dec. 15 to begin 12 weeks of preproduction before a mid-March start date. At MTV's website Catherine Hardwicke talk about the release of the DVD and some extras:

"There's a few crazy montages we made of every time someone gets bitten by a vampire that we didn't show in the movie. There's a lot more vampire biting," she said of the more violent material held back to get "Twilight" its PG-13 rating. "One montage is called 'Human Hijinks,' and it's all the human friends [including Mike Welch and Anna Kendrick] doing crazy stuff, more [from the field-trip scene] with the worms and the greenhouse. Just them totally messing around, going crazy. That's kind of fun."

A second montage will focus on the movie's undead moments. "There is the very sexy vampire biting — that is not in the movie," Hardwicke said of the bonus feature. "There's [Rob biting Kristen in the dream sequence], and then there's the nomadic vampires attacking. We have that in there too."

TWILIGHT heart-throb ROBERT PATTINSON is attracted to women who are slightly crazy - insisting he likes his ladies to be "mental, strong women."
The British star has been catapulted to international stardom with his leading role in the new vampire romance, and as a result is never short of female attention.
But Pattinson insists there are specific qualities he looks for in a girl.
He tells British magazine Closer, "The stuff I find attractive in women, I always regret finding attractive. I always like a kind of madness in a woman, and when they are really, really strong. And they're the worst - mental, strong women!

Rob about his modeling career:

TWILIGHT heart-throb ROBERT PATTINSON was forced to end his modelling career at the age of 16 - because he started to look too manly.
The British actor was a child model from the age of 12 but had to give up his life in front of the camera when work dried up just four years later.
And Pattinson, who subsequently turned to acting, blames growing into a man for his modelling rejections.
He tells British magazine Closer, "When I first started I was quite tall and looked like a girl, so I got lots of jobs, because it was during that period where the androgynous look was cool. How is the Twilight fandom is different from the Harry Potter movies? I think you've mentioned that the sound of the screams is even different.
It's different because I think it's almost solely females of a certain age group, and they have a very specific tone. It's much more to do with the sort of sexuality aspect of it. So many girls made this guy [their ideal], so when they see you it's like all of their energy is projected onto you. It's a really strange experience. I've never been in an experience where people just want to touch you — it's like being in a boy band.

Is it weird to have girls that are so young have this incredibly sexualized thing around you?
It's weird that you get 8-year-old girls coming up to you saying, "Can you just bite me? I want you to bite me." It is really strange how young the girls are, considering the book is based on the virtues of chastity, but I think it has the opposite effect on its readers though. [Laughs]

Robert Pattinson's secret to onscreen chemistry apparently involves surprising your co-star in the nude.

The Twilight star - who has been catapulted onto the A-list by his blood-sucking role - jokes that in order to sizzle in front of the camera, he treated Kristen Stewart to an eyeful off set.
Robert tells Entertainmentwise, "I’d just walk into Kristin’s bedroom naked, just to shock her! (laughs) Not really. "
The actor also reveals that getting steamy vampire-style had its drawbacks.
He says, "It’s funny because we were both wearing contact lenses in the film.
"So much of those scenes relies on eye contact, and we had these ‘masks’ on our eyes so I was really worrying that there wouldn’t be anything there, so it’s very lucky that people thought there was."

'Twilight' star Robert Pattinson says his "brain kind of shuts down" when he attends premieres.

Robert, 22, says the attention he gets from screaming teenage fans of vampire heartthrob film 'Twilight' - in which he plays lead character Edward Cullen - leaves him unable to think straight.

He said: "My brain kind of shuts down when there are loads of people screaming at me. I'm not thinking at all so I can't really remember what's happened immediately afterwards."

Robert also rubbished claims he is being paid millions of dollars per film.

He added: "I read some gossip thing saying - because I looked uncomfortable in a paparazzi photo - 'He should get used to it. That's the price to pay if you're getting $12m a movie'.

"If I'm getting paid $12m a movie I'd walk around naked. That's all nonsense."

'Twilight' is open in UK cinemas from December 19.

The Pattinson Brasil's staff member Lua was at the INDIE Festival 2008, and she shared with us his opinion about the movie:

"I must confess that the mainly reason which made me go to the theaters today, here is São Paulo (Brazil) to watch How to be, was the main role, who is played by our dear Robert Pattinson. And I have no regrets! Among all of the movies that Robert has a part in, and that I had the opportunity to watch, this one is by far the one he plays the best. Art couldn’t be best played."

The movie is about a guy from a family with many problems and this fact affects Art’s personality. Art is totally troubled. He isn’t happy and doesn’t accept his own personality. At this, he attaches to a self-help book and takes it with him during all movie.
His passion about such book is so strong that he sends a letter to its author, asking him for spend a couple of days with him and his family,
as his “personal psychologist”. And he gets it. At that rate, the psychologist starts to give him behavior advices and tells him things to do to not be so unhappy.
The actors who play his parents are brilliant. As well as the actors who play his friends. Talking about them, his friends are an essential part of the drama. They are the main role’s refuge, with whom he starts to play in a band inclusive (a band which is a little bit different, I must say... but through it, we can see that music is a Robert’s gift indeed).
The color white excessive use in the scenery set got my attention. I think that this is willful, because I got the sensation of feel what the main role felt (as there was anything eye-catching in the scenery set, “we have to” pay attention in the scene). The sicker Art was, sicker I started to be.
The movie made me laugh with the Art’s morbled way, mostly in the supermaket scenes...As for the audience, it was clear that everyone who was there, went to the movies to applause our dear RPattz, or at least, ALMOST everyone.
I could discuss hour about the movie, but I must be content with what I’ve written. But I will leave a tip: don’t waste time if you have the opportunity to watch How to be... because if you’re not convinced yet, this movie will prove you that Robert Pattinson isn’t not only gorgeous, but a very talent young actor!

Robert Pattinson Sucks At Baseball

Robert Pattinson is on top of the world right now, due to the enormous success of his role as Edward Cullen in the smash hit Twilight. But believe it or not, Robert is not great at everything. In fact, according to the actor, he sucks at baseball and doesn't plan on getting any better.

"I think sports are stupid," the 22 year old Brit told OK!. "Catherine Hardwicke was so determined to make me look like a professional baseball player she had this coach teach me this ready position, this little squat.

But Robert would have none of it, preferring to forego all athletic training.

He tried to avoid Hardwicke who wanted to see his move.

"I was like 'I'll do it on the last day of filming'. Catherine was like 'No, let me see it.'"

Pattinson says he was ashamed to show his complete lack of baseball skills.

"It was very embarrassing," he said. "I'm terrible at baseball. I'm terrible at every sport apart from running. I'm terrible at that now, too!"
