With both Twilight and New Moon out I was curious of which scenes you guys would have taken out of the movies that you felt were unnecessary or what moments from the books you would have loved to have been included?

Robert, Taylor, New Moon and Eclipse winners of Moviefone's Year End Poll
[info]dictums wrote in [info]rpattzdaily

We all know what movie critics’ like, since they’ve been getting together to announce the year’s best since early December. But what about movie fans? Or at least those movie 200,000+ fans who’ve bothered to vote in a poll at Moviefone.com?

Michael Haneke’s The White Ribbon was chosen — oops! Wrong poll. Let me try again:

At Moviefone.com, Chris Weitz’s The Twilight Saga: New Moon was named best movie (global box office: $662 million) with more than 40 percent of the vote. The film’s male star, Robert Pattinson, was chosen the sexiest actor, followed by his New Moon rival Taylor Lautner, the "male breakout star" of 2009. Megan Fox, the star of Michael Bay’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, was both the sexiest and the worst actress of the year. There are worse combos, you know?

Curiously, voters were markedly divided when it came to Revenge of the Fallen. Bay’s saga about the eternal fight between robots and humans (or what passes for human in today’s blockbusters), was chosen as the year’s worst film, the best action movie, and the second-most disappointing release after Sacha Baron Cohen’s Bruno.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is the most anticipated movie of 2010, followed by Iron Man 2, starring Robert Downey Jr, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I, starring Daniel Radcliffe.
Sandra Bullock was the best actress for The Blind Side.

Considering that she gets to be (emotionally) sandwiched between Pattinson and Lautner in both New Moon and the upcoming Eclipse, Kristen Stewart should have been voted the luckiest star of 2009, but I don’t believe there was such a category anywhere. Maybe next year.

Title: Fates Colliding
Author: Runs-at-Dawn
Characters/Pairing: Edward/Bella
Rating: NC/17 for occasional cursing and future lemons
Category: Romance/Drama A/U Vampires
Summary: Bella Cullen has been alone for over a century, sure she'd never find her soul mate. What will happen once she meets him...but he's a 17-year-old human boy, and her singer? Will she give in to fate; will he continue loving her once he finds out what she is?

This story will be told from both points of view (POV). It will start off more or less similar to Twilight, but soon it will start heading into a different, lemony, intense direction.

Lemons will be upcoming, but have patience ;)

Top Asexual Stories of 2009 include Michael Jackson, Robert Pattinson and the DSM-V committees
[info]dictums wrote in [info]rpattzdaily
A columnist may not be able to come up with the top ten columns of a given year, especially if his columns frequently cover commentary on closely related topics. 2009 was not a year devoid of news for Asexuals, although many of us would not have wished to have our name associated with Michael Jackson. (Yes, I understand that he was the first African-American musician to have a video on MTV, but Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong made greater contributions to the world of music.)

Putting a current celebrity's name in a headline is an almost surefire way to get thousands of page views, and such was the case with the unfortunate articles on Michael Jackson's death. The gentleman may have been a celebrity, but few of us would envy the last decade of his life.

On the other scale, is Robert Pattinson. TMZ attempted to claim that the actor was Asexual without any real proof of the orientation. Proving a person's lack of a sexual orientation often turns out to be difficult. AVEN posters frequently speculate that Keanu Reeves might be Ace, whether or not they have proof. (Oddly enough, the people responsible for this are usually female.)e m

The most marginal and certainly the most offensive celebrity to make the list, however, would have to be Dan Savage. Fairness requires the Philadelphia Ace Examiner to say that what Mister Savage said was reasonable advice. People in a relationship should disclose a lack of desire for sex as well as an unusual desire to engage in intercourse if they intend to pursue a relationship. The comments left by his readers left much to be desired, but have become standard fare for people who don't grasp the concept of not needing sex.

Perhaps the biggest and ongoing story of 2009 that is of interest to Asexuals does not involve a celebrity at all, but rather the book that is used as the Bible of the psychiatric profession. The current definitions of mental illness might be expanded and this has far reaching impact that goes well beyond mental health professionals recognizing Asexuality as a valid orientation. The controversy resulted in the publication date of the DSM-V being pushed back to 2013.

There are a few items that I enjoyed that were not as big news, such as Video Game Review Guru Yahtzee revealing that he is Ace, and discovering Swank Ivy''s video

Robert Pattinson admits his love life isn't "interesting enough"
[info]dictums wrote in [info]rpattzdaily
Millions want to know what Robert Pattinson would be like in a relationship, but the Twilight Saga: Eclipse actor says there's not much to find out about his love life.

“I don’t think I’ve had anything interesting enough to warrant a kiss and tell," Pattinson told British magazine OK! "Although actually I’ve been surprised with some acquaintances - they’ve been saying little things that you hear about through the grapevine, and it’s like: ‘Really?! That’s who you are?’"

Pattinson also trusts that his friends won't reveal anything juicy about him. “I’ve had a very close-knit group of friends for a really long time and I know that none of them would ever do anything like that," he said. Pattinson's next film Remember Me comes out in theaters March 12, 2010. The long-awaited third Twilight installment Eclipse gets a worldwide release June 30.

New Moon Scores Top 10 Spot for Most Mistakes
[info]besidethewall wrote in [info]lion_lamb
To err is human, but to make 29 errors is a blockbuster.

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and the rest of the New Moon clan may not be raking in the big awards or spots on critics' best of 2009 lists, but they have earned a spot on at least one Top 10 list.

MovieMistakes.com has listed their favorite flicks based on the number of, well, mistakes, and the Twilight sequel has landed in fifth place!
